I feel like I spent all winter working on custom items. Now that I’ve gotten through most of them, and I’ve finished the last sample of the winter season, I can finally start thinking and looking forward to spring.
Dress: Sophster-Toaster | Headband: H&M | Slippers : White Noise Maker
As I mentioned a few weeks ago, this spring will bring three new dresses, another dress to add to the Disney Day Dress Collection (Belle, my favourite), The Jawbreaker Dress, and a still unnamed Doctor Who themed dress. The changing season will also bring last Autumn’s design samples into the sample sale section with reduced prices.
The end of winter will also mean the end of the Winter Clearance Sale. The sale has done really well so far and I’m quite pleased with it. I’ve been able to connect with a lot of new and amazing customers all over the world while clearing out some older stock. One dress found it’s new home in Romania with blogger Daria of Kittenhood, check out her blog, as well as the Sophster-Toaster group board on Pinterest for her coming pictures. On March 20th all of the sale items will return to their regular sections or move into the sample sale section. Many of the items in the clearance sale will remain on sale into the spring, seeing as how most of them are samples, but prices will not be this low again until they go to local markets, and even then, maybe not.
Speaking of local markets, I found out last week that I’ll be going to the Etsy sponsored Heirlooms Artisan Market in Pelham, Ontario on June 21st, 2014. I’ll be selling lovely spring and summer party and day dresses from a a greenhouse and garden on the first day of summer and I simply cannot wait!
This week, I’ll be working on the last custom order I’ll be accepting for a while, at least until I catch up on my regular work, and ordering fabric for The Belle Jumper. I’ll also be putting my spring shop theme together.
